JONO DAVIS
Founder & Artistic Director
Jono is the Artistic Director of The Overture Series (2023 & 2024 Telly Award winner, 2023 Suzi Bass Award winner, 2022 & 2023 BroadwayWorld Award winner). Previously, Jono was the Artistic Director & Manager of the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre and the Executive Director of Aurora Theatre at the Lawrenceville Arts Center. He also served as Entertainment Coordinator for Cobb PARKS Special Events, notably the Cobb International Festival which was awarded Event of the Year by Cobb Travel & Tourism. Jono has been nominated three times for Artist of the Year by Cobb Life Magazine's Best of Cobb Awards.
In the last decade, Jono's had his hands in over 80 productions in Atlanta. He has worked and performed at Actor’s Express, Alliance Theatre, Arts Clayton, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Fabrefaction Theatre, Georgia Ensemble Theatre (Suzi Bass Award performance nominee), and SAIAH. Jono served as Lead Casting Director for an upcoming new musical series coming to Apple TV+. Jono is currently the Executive Director of Georgia Theatre Conference, the state’s longest-running theatre convention. He also generates all marketing and manages social media outlets for the The Overture Series and Georgia Theatre Conference. Thank you for supporting the arts!
MARY NYE BENNETT
Associate Artistic Director
Mary has spent the past 25 years as a professional actor, director, designer, and teaching artist. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2001 with a BFA in musical theater performance. She is proud to call Atlanta her home and is grateful to live in such a strong artistic community. Locally, she has performed on stage at the Atlanta Lyric Theatre, the Alliance Theatre, Actor’s Express, Theatre in the Square, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, and the Aurora Theatre. Mary was the Artistic Director of Atlanta Lyric Theatre from 2017- 2023. She enjoys spending time in Grand Lake, Colorado, where she started as an actor and choreographer for Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre’s Youth Theatre program. In recent years, she has been returning to Colorado in the summers to direct or costume design for their summer season. She has proudly been the director of Jerry’s Habima Theatre since 2016.
